Ruggedized Plastic Parts

"Ruggedized Plastic" is also referred to as Enhanced Plastic or sometimes as Military Plastic.

A "ruggedized" product is one that has been burned-in and tested to military specifications. Usually, ruggedized products are packaged in hermetic packages. However, some mil/aero applications do not require the expense of a full hermetic seal, but do require high-reliability processing. For such applications, Maxim's ruggedized military plastic products fulfill this processing requirement and can be thought of as "super-COTS" products. All of Maxim's ruggedized plastic parts ship with a Certificate of Compliance, just as do the full military spec hermetic devices. So if you are looking for enhanced plastic for a military plastic application, Maxim's Ruggedized Plastic fits the bill.
