Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS)

Advanced driver assistance systems automate aspects of the driving process, such as parking assistance, lane positioning, and collision avoidance, to enhance the safe operation of an automobile. Many ADAS systems provide warning and alerting functions using video, radar, and sonar monitoring. The more advanced systems now employ video processing algorithms and use multiple video cameras to provide even more accurate event detection and driver alerts.

High Speed Video Links

ADAS systems typically deploy multiple video cameras dispersed throughout the vehicle. Connecting the camera signal to the ADAS console requires low-cost high-speed communications links. Our 3Gbit GMSL Serializer-Deserializer (SerDes) technology provides the necessary bandwidth while offering a low cost solution. Our SerDes ICs support STP and Coax media and HDCP copy protection.

As cameras, sensors, microprocessors, and other underlying components for ADAS applications continue to become more prevalent in next-generation vehicles, the need to precisely manage the power supplies becomes more critical. Our automotive-grade regulators, PMICs, and protectors balance power demands with power constraints while addressing EMI and small solution size requirements that play an important role in safety functions.
